When is the Obama admin going to address Unemployment??

For every 10% unemployed there are another 20% that are underemployed, working part-time or have given up. That means more than 30% of our labor force is in big trouble, especially young people.

According to Bloomberg  the three states with the highest official unemployment in Aug. 2009, were:

.              Michigan (15.2%)

.              Nevada (13.2%)

.              California (12.2%)

The Truth About Jobs That No One Wants to Tell You

Unemployment will almost certainly hit double-digits next year [2010] — and may remain there for some time.

THE OBSERVER – GUARDIAN  U.K.

Will California become America’s first failed state?

.    Los Angeles, 2009: California may be the eighth largest

.    economy in the world, but its state staff are being paid

.    in IOUs, unemployment is at its highest in 70 years,

.    and teachers are on hunger strike. So what has gone

.    so catastrophically wrong?

You can’t avoid major social upheaval at these levels. FDR knew what to do, but no one in this administration is making any efforts in that direction (WPA, CCC etc) Do they actually want  justification for an end to Constitutional government and an excuse for militarization at home?

There is no political desire or will in either party organization to address this. They think they can forever float on top of the misery like an exempted class:  a fatal miscalculation for them- and us.

We have one big problem in America today:  a failure of the capacity to organize or to implement anything but sound bites.
